with students at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
Mulgrave letters scheduled for pick-up - May 13, 2002
Letters were delivered to Hillside Elementary School in the afternoon of September 19, 2002
Though one of the smallest schools we visited, Hillside Elementary School greeted us with one of the most enthusiastic welcomes of the entire trip. Several students were decked out in fancy duds from the 1800's.
Stationmaster Joe, in his black waistcoat and cowboy hat took care of the mail transfer and then a whole group of students spelled out W-E-L-C-O-M-E in big blue letters.
One of my most treasured souvenirs is the 'W' - signed by the students of Hillside School.
